This is similar to our online SubSkills Online Training Course—but in an actual printed handbook called “Substitute Teacher Handbook.”

The SubSkills print version course has been designed for those who do not have continual access to a computer, or who prefer to study the course materials in print. Besides, if you are like a lot of teaching professionals, you love to mark things up.

• Get the textbook version of SubSkills. We send it to you via USPS Priority Mail.
• Start it.
• Complete it at your own pace. It takes 6 to 8 hours to complete. We recommend you spend 30 to 60 minutes per training session.
• After you complete the course, take the SubAssessment test. You have four attempts to get your best score. Most districts require an 85% or higher unless otherwise specified by your district. You will take the SubAssessment online and then receive a score.
• After you pass, you will earn your SubDiploma.
• Give this diploma to your district.
