The Substitute Teacher Handbook gives you everything from the Clark County Online Training Course—but in a print version. It does not include the online tutorials or videos, but it does include the Substitute Teacher Handbook with access to all the online activities, the SubAssessment and the SubDiploma.

  • Overview

  • This is similar to our online SubSkills Online Training Course—but in an actual printed handbook called “Substitute Teacher Handbook.”

  • Why Use Print

  • The print version course has been designed for those who do not have continual access to a computer, or who prefer to study the course materials in print. Besides, if you are like a lot of teaching professionals, you love to mark things up.

  • Guarantee

  • Our Guarantee

“Money-back guarantee: If you complete our SubSkills course (either online or in print) and you earn your STEDI SubDiploma – and you meet your district’s hiring requirements – and are still not offered a job, we will refund 100% of your tuition.”

  • How It Works

    • Step 1. Register and order the textbook version of the Clark County SubSkills Course (we send it to you via USPS Priority Mail).
    • Step 2. Complete the training at your own pace. It takes 8 to 10 hours to complete. We recommend you spend 30 to 60 minutes per training session. Substitutes have forty five (45) days to complete this training after hire.
    • Step 3.  After you complete the course, login to our website to take the SubAssessment test and receive a score. You will have four (4) attempts to get an 85% or higher.
    • Step 4.  After you pass, you will earn your SubDiploma and will need to give a copy of the diploma to your district.
    • Step 5. Accept the job offered to you from one of your local districts and become an amazing substitute teacher. You will have access to the training information for one year. You may refer back to the content as needed.
    • Step 6. Bring the Substitute Teacher Handbook with you to class as a resource for classroom activities and as a reference book for classroom management skills.
