A fantastic mini course and love the way that the growth learning mindset really expands on the general principle of high expectations. The special compensations that a teacher needs to make under these special circumstances was very-well covered, along with a nice solid survey of tools–basically free (at least for qualified teachers during the present COVID-19 quarantine), as well as the unfortunate need for local restrictions on certain tools for all-too-real concerns about minor students could be exposed to or empowered to make improper use of. [Zoom is wonderful, and here in Los Angeles, LAUSD, LAUSD charter, and local private schools use it–but it is easily invaded by “jokers” who aren’t “funny” — disruptive in some of the worst possible ways. [Individual passwords–the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian to guard–would be a good technical solution I would think if it could be implemented in such tools.]

    SPOILER ALERT!
The course was excellent. I learned much about teaching online and the presentation was VERY professional. Lots of useful information, which I passed along to my remote-teaching friends!
Unfortunately, the certificate does not indicate the hours for in-service credit…Thus, I learned, but could not apply my efforts towards my 10 hours of required in-service training! : (

This course was excellent! The course informed you on recognizing solutions to the challenges of what students face while working online. How communities can be fostered through learning in a remote classroom. I’m encourage to share my personal touch to the students as a whole by creating a culture of belonging. I wish each students much success through virtual learning. “Change Your Thinking! “Change Your Life”!
    Much Success
