Leave the Room as You Found It

Many of us were raised with the idea that we should leave things cleaner than we found them. This is stellar advice in most instances except for substitute teaching. When you walk into a classroom, take note of how the desks are arranged, how the teacher’s desk looks, and other minute details in the classroom and at the end of the day, leave the room as you found it.

What may look like a mess to you can easily be “organized piles” to the permanent teacher.
